'Impossible to Intercept': This is Russia's New Deadly Weapon

The reason the Russian military used it was to try it out in a real battle situation in real time. Will they continue using it .,? Probably not, each one is way to expensive. It’s not designed for close quarter urban warfare.

Actually, it isn't the speed that makes them dangerous as any rocket like ICBMs are hypersonic by nature (the supposed Russian superweapon really isn't that new. It's a redesign of an 80s missile and flies at around Mach 5 For comparison, the Space Shuttle regularly flew at Mach 25. It's their maneuverability and low flight pattern that's makes them very difficult to intercept currently. The reason Russia is pushing this propaganda is in part to promote weapons sales.
If this missile is truly that dangerous it will be used on specific targets, like production facilities, air defense, warships and so on. They are probably easy to intercept and neutralize in the last phase before hitting the target, but I think it's risky and a capable system like that would give a limited coverage so can't be called a missile shield. I think that developing a missile with higher speed and maneuverability, useful to intercept it, can be done, if not already done. USA navy can't risk the high tier ships and air-carriers to be taken down like that. if that's the risk the first thing they'll do is to sink all the russian ships immediately using submarines whithin a few hours. Those missiles couldn't hit american soil if not fired from ships or from Mexico. On the other side war can't be won with missiles only unless they are nuclear and OTAN's army is far superior in numbers and tecnology (and probalby strategy too according to how many officials are being fired by Putin). Also if war starts and the whole industry of USA and EU starts to build weapons at the limit of their possibilities there's no way Russia can outnumber it, only china's industry could barely compete. It's better for everyone this war never begins because it will lead to total destruction, especially for Russia and Europe. Russians better read "war and peace" and fight the ex KGB than fight for them.
