Russians Experience Heavy Losses in Ukraine

I really hope Ukraine doesn’t allow Russia to continue to illegally occupy eastern Ukraine. Hell, the Ukrainians should continue to go on the offensive and retake Crimea! Glory to Ukraine.

Hats off to the Ukrainians and volunteers helping against this invasion. I have no fear as a NATO country citizen. Come to us Putin, we are standing by and prepared for you and your military.

I served in the Balkans with Russians. They were known to be drunk in public. Wearing uniforms from 2 or three different countries. They smelled awful and begged to trade equipment. They hadn't been paid in months  They were known by all the countries present as being the "bums" of the base. I knew  right away that the fresh never worn uniforms  and equipment we seen in the Georgia and Crimea conflict  were nothing but propaganda. Everyone has built up this image of a 7' Russian soldier that is undefeatable, when in reality anyone with real life personal experience with their military will tell you they are undisciplined drunks with terrible equipment and tactics

A couple notes about the 10,000 KIA number.
1. Numbers Russia has given, while different, show a 3:1 ratio of wounded to killed. This ratio is consistent with WW2 battles, 3 wounded for every killed. Thus 10,000 KIA means there are also 30,000 wounded for a total of 40,000 Russian troops out of action. This does not count MIA, deserters or POWs.
2. Historically, an attacker loses their moral when one third of their force is lost. Interestingly a defender loses his moral when half of the defenders are lost. 40k WIA and KIA plus MIA, POW, and deserters add up to around one third of the attacking force.
3. The "give up" ratio has never applied to an insurgency. They will never give up.
4. The NATO member nations, thanks to improvements in battlefield first aid and medevac flights have a 5:1 wounded to killed... meaning more life-threatening wounds are healed. NATO cares about its warfighters.
