Russia Ukraine Conflict: Ukrainian Counterattacks Retake Territory
The Ukrainians are attempting a number of counter offensives, liberating people who've been under Russian occupation as they move forward.
They should make a monument after this is over to remind how they impressed the world and held their ground and to honor all the brave lives that fought for their home.
"War is destructive. It is destructive to both the winner and the loser, and it sows the seeds for future conflict. The damage is not only to material things, but to the nature and character of entire nations of people who are traumatized. Humanity has not matured enough nor has grown in wisdom enough to recognize the absolute truth of this."
In that first report, they either got the name of the village they were in wrong or they don't know how to read a map. Topaz is not anywhere near the Kherson region, it is very close to Mykolaiv in the Korabel'nyi district (North of Mykolaiv). And then, just to confuse people even more, they are in Nova Odessa, South of Mykolaiv.
Like many of you, I watched the events unfolding in eastern Europe overnight with deep concern for the people of Ukraine, as well as a growing anger at this affront to peace and order on the international stage. An unprovoked attack on a sovereign nation is a troubling development, the likes of which we have not seen in generations; we likely have not yet seen the worst human consequences of this act of brutality.
