Stoltenberg Address: NATO Head Tells Russia it Cannot Win Nuclear War
NATO warned on Wednesday against Russia's war in Ukraine sliding into a nuclear confrontation between Moscow and the West.
International security and global balance of power has been based on nuclear deterrents since WW2, or shortly thereafter. It never went away, everyone just ignored it. It is insane to let anyone have a threat so great they can never be allowed to lose, but it was not challenged, because others wanted the same guarantee.
He omits article 4 of the UN charter - that no nation can increase its own security to the detriment of another nation's security. Russia's repeated protests & demands for the UN charter to be implemented have been ignored since Bucharest 2004.
Come on Russia. You are better than this. You aren't North Korea. You are a great cultural power. You are supposedly a Christian country. Stop this, come to the table, and rejoin the world. You have a great future if you want it.
