Former head of U.S. Army in Europe Says U.S. Arms Sent to Ukraine "Still not Enough"

Ret. Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges, the former commanding general of the U.S. Army in Europe, says Ukraine needs more long-ranged missiles and equipment, in addition to weapons the U.S. is currently providing.

The way it's looking if they tried to launch nukes they would probably blow up in the launch tubes. Its all about facade. The moment someone actually stood up to Putin and they had to actually use Russian ground forces as a hammer, the head broke because the handle was riddled with woodworm.

I'm old enough to remember the Vulcan ADA systems we (U.S. Army) used to have. We would always say that if you pointed that thing at some ground troops, that would be some serious firepower that most enemy forces wouldn't want to deal with. I wonder what happened to all those systems? I would be nice if we could get them to the Ukrainians to test the theory...

I agree with Lt. Hodges tht we need to talk about Ukraine's "winning" the war against the invading Russia. He said it right- Ukraine needs long-range missiles to destroy the Russian/Belarusian missile sites stopping their brutal attacks on Ukraine.

As in all wars , objectives need to be defined at the outset and those come from politicians , what is the endgame .

Similarly for the type and numbers of arms supplied to Ukraine , enough to slow the advance , enough to halt the advance or enough to retake ground. Option one is a figleaf to merely save face , option two kicks the can down the road,  option three is unknown territory , which option is a question for the politicians. Time to make the hard decisions , clock's ticking.

This guy is right, we need to do more and China is watching and Putin will not stop here unless he shown the error of his ways, Ukraine needs to take the offense and we are the only one that can give that to them.
