China's Has Already Collapsed | It's Just Been Hidden From You...
Very well done video. Most things in it I knew already in aggregate, but it was still really nice to see it all put together in an engaging and cogent way to make a strong point. I sometimes think people overlook the value of putting different facts together to make a stronger whole/argument.
The one thing you failed to mention is that the real estate are concrete slabs undeveloped (no plumbing/electricity fixtures/flooring). And they only own the property for a limitied number of years. 70 years for residential and 40 years for commercial properties. After the time expires, ownership is returned to the government.
I kinda have heard these points a lot and they're valid, but there's so much else out there to talk about
- Issues with food import/export and efficiency, burnt down reserve silos, and decimating farmland
- The "China + 1" policies, many companies moving out of china since 2019, chinese labor getting to expensive (middle income trap)
- Other national debts than housing becoming near useless, may default (land irrigation projects, high speed rail)
- any sorts of schisms between the east and the west parts of the continent
- situations happening ukr/rus giving signals to china of similar sanctions that could be made
I keep hearing certain economists stating that this is the Chinese century and that they will dominate the world. Yet I keep saying the same as yourself, how in the world can a government run by ideologues ever have enough confidence to allow its people to prosper and thus ever grow powerful financially?
A thing that was not mentioned here is the CCP has decided to "stimulate" the economy but pumping in liquidity. That works if the issue is productive assets are not being used. But China appears to have produced large piles of concrete, rather than business capital goods. If this is the case, inflation is just around the corner.
