RUSSIA - SANCTIONS are DESTROYING Russian Economy. Economic & Technology RECESSION, INFLATION Soars
Actually there is a market for older generation goods. Using microcontrollers in everything is design laziness. John Deere tractors are unrepairable by design. The previous generation tractors worked well and were simpler. For many farmers simplicity, reliability and lower cost is more important. As an electronics engineer I do not want electronics in anything I buy. It makes goods near impossible to repair whilst being much more likely to break. No thanks.
I worked for a Database software company just after the fall of the USSR. On a business trip to Russia I was amazed by the number of technicians who were well skilled in our product and the number of licences installed. This was possible because of the widespread pirating of our product before the fall of the wall. The Russians are an inventive lot.
When this all started lot of people were asking me when things would get back to normal, I told them 10 years .......IF EVER? That was a year and a half ago, if anything I think it may actually take longer now. With the Russia Ukraine thing and the massive shut down in China, the hole just gets deeper and deeper. We are going to have bigger and bigger shortages going forward. Doesn't look good. TheReaper!
Looking at the monetary policies of Russia and the West it appears than in about 12 months we will have a deep, deep recession in Russia and hiperinflation ( more than annual 50% inflation rate ) in USA and Europe. Adding to all this, we can surely anticipate a world stock market crash and a financial sector implosion during 2022.
The US is having the highest inflation in 40 years, supply shortages, record gas prices, and our economy went from 6% growth (yes, letting people work will do that) to negative 1.4% growth, the southern borders has more than 200,000 people crossing illegally monthly, national guardsman are dying trying to help illegal immigrants, the military is discharging people for not getting the super effective COVID vaccines while they struggle to meet recruitment goals, fertilizer shortages are going to negatively impact both supply and price of food in a few months, world leaders refuse to talk to Biden and Harris, and Biden has created a ministry of Truth.
But at least the US is borrowing billions to give to Ukraine to protect their national borders.
