GOP Leaders Were 'On The Verge Of Pushing Trump Out Of The Party'
Editor-at-large for the Bulwark Charlie Sykes, former U.S. attorney Harry Litman, Politico national correspondent Betsy Woodruff Swan, and former Senator Claire McCaskill react to the cravenness of the post-January 6th Republican party, revealed in the upcoming book “This Will Not Pass: Trump, Biden, and the Battle for America’s Future” by New York Times reporters Alexander Burns and Jonathan Martin.
If Trump runs in 2024 the GOP will have to fall in line, because if they dont, i wouldn't be but so surprised if Trump threatened to run as a Third Party candidate, which would all but destroy the Republicans, and guarantee a win for Dems. Republicans, you wanted him, you enabled him, this is a monster you created. Best of luck to ya.
BUT didn't all those in Congress on the right and the left, swear an OATH to protect and preserve the Constitution? Seems to me that all that break that oath have had it too easy for too long and it absolutely means nothing to them. May I suggest for all these oath breakers to have just one month in Ukraine, maybe that would be a good wake up call. ~sigh~
What a difference to have someone in the Presidency who supports democracy, has empathy, and is willing to stand up to evil dictators. You don't have to ware the flag if you believe in what it stands for.
Anyone who knowingly allowed January 6 to occur should be thrown out! They failed to uphold their oath to the Constitution and to protect the people of the United States.
