Ukraine War: 'The Next Few Weeks Will Be Critical'

Ukraine War: 'The Next Few Weeks Will Be Critical'

President Putin has defended his invasion of Ukraine claiming it was a forced response to plans by the West to invade Russia.

During his speech in Red Square at the country's annual Victory Day parade, which marks the Soviet Union's triumph over Hitler's Nazis,  he said Russian forces were "fighting for the Motherland."

But he made no significant announcement about the war as some had been expecting.

The Defence and Security analyst Professor Michael Clarke has this assessment of the latest situation on the ground in Ukraine.

One thing that is always missing from your otherwise good analysis. Ukraine dosent need to win every battle, they just need to keep fighting and makes this too costly for Russia.

And finally Professor Michael Clark is back! @sky news no disrespect for the others (all very good indeed) but Professor Clarke is absolutely the best for me.

People in Ukraine : defending their dear country.

People in modern societies : helps Ukraine

People in 3rd world nations : I love Russia more than my own country ( a day of racism in Russia would shatter their expectations).
